Hessequa Calling! Hessequa Tourism is launching its first newsletter, Hessequa Calling! on the brand spanking new website. Hessequa Website: Our very own unique window to the Hessequa world Nowhere in South Africa has there been such a dedicated attempt by a Local Tourism Organisation (LTO) to promote the region with both a marketing and a developmental agenda. The website aims to highlight our up-and-coming tourist destination with its tourism products and services, as well as promote tourism, trade and economic development initiatives and opportunities. The site itself is versatile with quick loading, user-friendly navigation panes, to-the-point useful content and eye-catching photographs that provide a comprehensive ‘window to the Hessequa world’. The website will be continuously improved and updated with useful information, promotions, upcoming events and interesting news articles. These will help to drive Hessequa's socio-economic and tourism-related programs, to the benefit of the tourism industry and the community as a whole. Popular television show, ‘Pasella’, highlights Albertinia The Pasella team visited Albertinia in February to film a segment that was aired on SABC TV2 on 3 March 2010. The insert conveyed to viewers, the charm and historic value of Albertinia with its historic architecture and museum, and also highlighted its important contribution to the region’s economy by way of the aloe and thatch industry. The team also visited the game farm, Garden Route Game Lodge, set against the backdrop of the majestic Langeberg mountains, where the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the Big 5 in the natural surrounds of the region, is a firm favourite and unique experience. It is hoped that Pasella will return to do a feature on the region as a whole, so here’s hoping! Behind the scenes, we are encouraging other television programs and national magazines to promote our region. This kind of promotion is far reaching and invaluable, both in respect of tourism and of encouraging development and investment. Cheers from the Aloe Capital! Great news / Goieie Nuus!
