A Hessequa Municipality delegation made an official visit to the 8th District, Joszefvaros, Budapest, Hungary from 7 to 12 May 2010.

The delegation: Chris Taute (Executive Mayor); Johan Jacobs (Municipal Manager); Mrs Sofia Jacobs; Councillor Lisby Pieterse and Andras Kiss (Tourism Manager).

The delegation was hosted by the 8th District, Joszefvaros, Budapest; Mr. Lajos Ku of the Hungarian youth soccer association -  'Aranycsapat Alapitvany' - and Mr. Boldizsar Wennes of Asvanyviz Kft.

The RSA Embassy will continue to play a proactive role in this international initiative which includes our Hessequa 2010-related soccer initiatives.

Part of the program included the signing of the MOU between Hessequa and 8th District, Joszefvaros, Budapest.

Included in this mission was a short tour of the 8th District of Budapest and surroundings, together with official meetings and discussions regarding the continued pursuit of the trade, cultural, sports and friendship agreement.

As a follow-up initiative, Hessequa has invited Dr. Gotthard Gabor, deputy mayor of the 8th District, Joszefvaros, Budapest; to the upcoming Hessequa - Africa Week celebrations at the end of May 2010.
